Guide to Finding Cheap Cricut Cartridges and Machines

If you have been searching for cheap Cricut cartridges and machines, there's lots of places you can find deals! You just have to know where to look.

As you probably already know, this handy machine from Provo Craft is a paper crafter’s dream come true, churning out customized die cuts and shapes with just the touch of a button. Handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and other crafting projects are made easier with this must-have die cut machine and its line of over fifty add-on cartridges.
Although a Cricut can save its owner both time and money, the initial investment can leave would-be owners with a case of sticker shock. The Personal Cutter comes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $299.99, and its big brother, the souped-up Expression machine, regularly retails for $499.99.

Basic font and shape cartridges are supplied with both machines, but the majority of owners also invest in more in order to expand the range of crafting possibilities. The retail price for add-on cartridges is anywhere from $49.99 for basic fonts all the way to $99.99, with the price tag for most falling somewhere between. In addition to these, other accessories, such as design software, cutting tools, and the new Jukebox, which allows users to load and use six cartridges at one time, all can add up to a hefty initial investment.

However, ask any Cricut owner about the machine, and without fail, they will enthusiastically respond, “It’s worth every penny!” In the long run, the machine will pay for itself over and over, making it unnecessary to purchase expensive individual die cuts and stickers for embellishing scrapbooks, cards, and other projects.

By doing a little comparison shopping, it’s also easy to find deals on both the Cricut Personal Cutter and the Expression machines, as well as the cartridges and other accessories. Craft stores, such as JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby and Michaels, regularly run specials. If you are patient, keep an eye on the weekly sales flyers for your local craft and hobby stores. Sooner or later a deal will come along.

Another good source for cheap Cricut cartridges and accessories is eBay. New and gently used machines can be picked up for a fraction of the suggested retail price. If the thought of shopping on eBay is a little overwhelming, sites such as DiscountDiecutCartridges.com may be a good starting point, organizing the eBay auction listings in user-friendly categories, so you can quickly and easily find the item you want.
